    David A. Elliott, PE obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arkansas in 1992 where he was an Academic All-American and was a recipient of the National Engineering Merit Award. While attending the University of Arkansas, Mr. Elliott worked in a cooperative capacity at General Dynamics – Ft. Worth where he held the position of Advanced Design Engineer and worked on projects involving cutting edge military jet aircraft design. It was also at General Dynamics where Mr. Elliott was introduced to accident reconstruction, as he was also charged with reconstructing mid-air collisions of military aircraft.
    Upon graduation from the University of Arkansas, Mr. Elliott immediately entered the field of accident reconstruction and forensics and has reconstructed thousands of accidents including motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian slip/trip & fall accidents, and accidents involving product designs or component defects. Mr. Elliott has been qualified as a court expert in the field of accident reconstruction, pedestrian issues, and mechanical engineering.
    Mr. Elliott is a Professional Engineer, licensed in the state of Nevada in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering, and holds full long-time accreditation as a traffic accident reconstructionist with ACTAR. Mr. Elliott has also been certified by the Vetronix Corporation to utilize Crash Data Retrieval equipment and software to download and analyze crash information stored in airbag Sensing and Diagnostic Modules (SDM’s). Additionally, Mr. Elliott has been certified by the International Safety Academy as an XL tribometrist, proficient in wet & dry slip testing, as well as, the analysis of pedestrian slip/trip & fall incidents. Mr. Elliott is a proficient operator of total station surveying equipment and 3D Human-Vehicle-Environment (HVE) software.
    Mr. Elliott is an active standards voting member of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Committee F13 - Pedestrian/Walkway Safety and Footwear and Subcommittees F13.10 – Traction, F13.20 – Biomechanics and Footwear Construction, F13.40 – Research, and F13.50 – Walkway Surfaces. Mr. Elliott is also a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), as well as, a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI).
    Finally, Mr. Elliott is fully committed to continuing education and has completed one half of the required classes for his Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree, which he is currently pursuing at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas. |
